MA Liaison - Contact Kim Mossman
Kimberly Mossman is the founder and owner of the Mossman Play Therapy Center in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She created the Mossman Play Therapy Center to address the growing need within her community for children’s mental health services. Kimberly is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with an Education Specialist degree concentrating in play therapy from the University of Mississippi. She has experience working with families effected by various forms of trauma. Prior to starting her own practice, she worked for the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office where she gained a unique perspective on the impact the court system has on children and their families. As a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Kimberly provides supervision for clinicians both inside and outside of the Center. She is passionate about increasing play therapy services to children throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.

NH Liaison - Contact Holly Pierce
Holly graduated from the Copenhagen International School for high school, Dartmouth College for her undergraduate degree, and Plymouth State University for her Master's degree in Education. She is licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NH and she is a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™. She has been in private practice for over 10 years and loves it! She has attended every NEAPT Annual Conference since 2009. Her favorite play therapy book is the classic Dibs in Search of Self by Virginia Axline. Holly grew up in Denmark, sings in a choir, and time-lapses the sunset most every day. Her original career aspirations: a ballerina or a cat dentist.
RI Liaison - Contact Gabrielle Dworkin
Gabrielle J. Dworkin, “Gabbi” is a Registered Play Therapist™ and License Mental Health Counselor in RI and MA. She recently finished her term on the Board. She works in 2 pediatricians offices, a counseling group private practice and substitutes in the schools. She enjoys working with children age 2-12, but has started to expand her skills with teenagers. Gabbi has used this time out of the office to conduct intakes and phone sessions, read therapy/training books, and attend webinars/courses online. For self- care, she has been coloring, completing Alice in Wonderland puzzles, soaking in the sun while listening to the birds, reading for fun, watching movies, and doing Zoom trivia with friends and family. She is looking forward to working with the newly elected Board member for the state, Casey Lumb, in planning interesting events.

School-Based Liaison - Contact Carolyn Janis
Carolyn Janis, LCSW, Registered Play Therapist™ currently works alongside students in the Portland School District as a school-based clinician with Community Health Center. Prior to this, she worked at the Institute of Living in Hartford and Cheshire, where she was first introduced to the power of play when working alongside Dr. Julie Nash. Carolyn was a part of a private practice in Glastonbury. Her training days began as a clinical social worker at Providence College and graduate work was completed at Simmons College. Within the play therapy room, Carolyn’s most after toys are often the ambulances, police cars, doll houses and lots (and LOTS) of Legos! Carolyn is most grateful to all of the play therapists who have been so generous with their time, patience and support in leading others to discovering the healing that can emerge through play.
